Mills Lake- Rocky Mountain National Park

Sitting at a breathtaking elevation of just under 10,000 feet is Mills Lake, a stunning subalpine lake that is nestled quietly just below the majestic Half Mountain. Named in honor of the “Father of Rocky Mountain National Park,” Enos Mills, this is truly one hike you absolutely do not want to miss when you visit RMNP. Hiking year-round can be an exhilarating and adventurous experience, but adding snow to the trail can make things a bit tricky and more challenging. If you do choose to hike during the snowy season, be sure to stay safe and take the proper precautions to ensure an enjoyable journey. This trail is slightly challenging, but the spectacular reward waiting at the end is undeniably breathtaking.
