Every Leaf Is Special

Growing up in the northeast part of this great country, I learned to truly appreciate the stunning beauty of fall and all that it brings. Football season, cool crisp weather, and invigorating fresh air—it really is the best! Autumn, with its vibrant colors and cozy vibes, is by far my favorite season of the entire year. However, fall out west is a different kind of magic altogether. Snow may arrive earlier than you’d expect, sometimes even before the beloved trick-or-treaters hit the streets in their cheerful costumes. Before I made the move to Colorado, I was completely unaware of the enchanting magic of the Aspens. These remarkable trees are truly a feast for your senses. Their bright and vivid colors light up the entire landscape, painting it in spectacular shades of gold and orange. When you walk through an aspen grove, the colors and the fresh, earthy smell captivate your soul and awaken your spirit. But perhaps my absolute favorite thing about this entire experience is the sound. Just close your eyes and listen closely. Listen for the delightful sound of aspen leaves trembling gently in the breeze. They produce a special whispering sound as the delicate, paper-like leaves rustle together, creating a beautiful melody. The aspen glow will only last a few weeks each fall, so if you ever get a chance to experience it for yourself, you will find that you’ll have memories that will last a lifetime, filling your heart with joy and wonder.
